Hanapepe Ridge Well (02-5634-01), KauaiThe Hanapepe Ridge well (02-5634-01) is located in the Hanapepe area of southern Kauai. Water levels in the well reflect the altitude of the water table in the Koloa Volcanics. The well was drilled for the State of Hawaii in 1961 and continuous monitoring began in 1986. The well was drilled to a depth of 508 ft from an altitude of about 440 ft. The well is open to the aquifer between altitudes of -30 and -68 ft. This station is operated by Vaughn Kunishige of the Honolulu field office and is equipped with a satellite transmitter delivering water-level updates every hour. Link to real-time data for this well Link to USGS Ground-Water Climate Response Network site for this well. Historical water-level record Recent water-level record compared with historical data The daily maximum and minimum data show how recent conditions compare to the range of daily water levels measured in the historical record. The entire period of record is used to estimate daily maximum, minimum, and median water levels.
