Kahana Stream, Oahu (16296500)

The Kahana stream gage, located at an altitude of 30 ft near Kahana, has been operated since 1958 (gage photo). Waiahole tunnel diverts water from tributaries upstream of the gaging station. This gaging station is operated by Vaughn Kunishige of the Honolulu field office and is equipped with a satellite transmitter delivering updates every hour.
